Motafa Hakim Welfare Foundation, a social and humanitarian organization of Mostafa Hakim Group of Chittagong selected a site in Darogahat area under Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong for establishing a college .
A meeting of views exchanging was held at Baraiyadala union with the local elites aimed at unveiling the signboard of the college over a one acre of land .
The proposed college named after the names of former Mayor Manzoor Alam and his elder brother Abu Taher .Abu Taher and Manzoor Alam are the chairman and Executive Director of Mostafa Group respectively. The college named as “Taher Manzoor College” . This proposed college is the 44th project of the Mostafa Hakim Foundation.
Sources said the academic session of the college will begin from 2017. Among others, directors of MHF Nizamul Alam Raju, Sarwar alam, Faruk Azam, Principal of Mostafa Hakim College Md. Alamgir, Vice Principal Badsha Alam, Chairman of Kumira union Rehanuddin, AL leader Nurul Mostafa, Jubo Legue leader Sirajul Islam were present in the meeting, sources added.
