Shafiq Ahmed of Golden Chess Club shared 2nd position securing 2.5 points with four other players, after the third round match of the Mount Gaurisankar 3rd International Open Chess Tournament at Charikot, Dolakha in Nepal on Saturday.
In the 3rd round Shafiq beat Ritabroto Ganguly of India.
Earlier, in the 2nd round Shafiq drew with Rajendra Prasad Shrestha of Nepal.
