The Dhaka Metro round Prime Bank Young Tigers National School Cricket tournament began on Monday at Zahurul Haque Ground, Dhaka University.
32 teams from the metropolis are taking part in the Dhaka zone.
Shaheed Buddhijibi High School recorded a 32 runs victory over Rahmatullah High School in the inaugural match.
Near about ten thousand school children are taking part in this year’s competition. 581 school teams are taking part in 72 different venues.
Senior officials of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Prime Bank Limited were present during the inauguration occasion, said a press release.
