Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in 24 hours as of 9 am on Saturday.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rangpur and Sylhet divisions,” said a met office bulletin issued on Friday morning here.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, the bulletin added.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature yesterday was recorded 36.0 degrees Celsius at Jashore in Khulna and Friday’s minimum temperature was 18.2 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am on Friday was recorded 42 millimeters (mm) at Khulna and Satkhira. The sun sets at 6:31 pm on Friday and rises at 5:19 am on Saturday in Dhaka.
