After a long time, an exceptional public meeting was held in Ishwardi. A street rally was organized in Dashuria on last Wednesday night on the occasion of the by-elections to be held in Pabna-4 Constituency on September 26.
But the street rally turned into a public meeting with the participation of local Awami League leaders and activists. Former member of the Central Industry and Commerce Sub-Committee of Awami League Sakibur Rahman Kanak addressed the public meeting as the chief guest. Speaking as the chief guest, he said the late Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif, a popular leader of the region, has worked for the development of the area and the common man all his life. So the common people of the area still remember his activities with respect.
He called upon the attendees to work for the candidate of Nauka (Boat) wishing peace and health of his late father Shamsur Rahman Sharif. Local leaders and activists spoke under the chairmanship of local Awami League leader Pulak Sardar.
