Medical Board formed for better treatment of injured

Authorities of Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Monday formed a nine member medical board to provide better treament to injured DUCSU Vice President Nurul Haque Nur and four others.
The DMCH Director Brig Gen AKM Nasiruddin said Neuro Surgery dept’s Prof Raziur Haque will lead the board.
The board will meet on Tuesday morning to take decision over the treatment of the injured.
Earlier, the DMCH Director told media that 28 persons had been brought to the hospital for treatment. Of them, five are still undergoing treatment here, he added. Meanwhile, condition of Tuhin Farabi, joint convener of Bangladesh General Students’ Rights Protection Council, improved and his ventilator was removed today.
Brig Gen AKM Nasiruddin said, “Nur’s injury was not serious, but he was traumatised. He is stable now.” Police, however, detained Muktijoddha Mancha general secretary Al Mamun and Dhaka University unit general secretary Yasir Arafat Turjo in connection with the attack.
Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) VP Nur and at least 13 others were injured in an attack by Muktijoddha Mancha activists on Sunday.
