Claiming that question papers of the tests were leaked, the protesters thronged at Central Shaheed Minar in the capital since morning from where police removed them.
They brought out a procession covering their faces with black clothes and marched towards Shahbagh. Police barred the procession while they were marching towards Shahbagh intersection from the Shaheed Minar premises around 11:30am.
At one stage, the demonstrators took position in front of Shahbagh Police
Station protesting the police action.
Later, the demonstrators staged a sit-in programme at the National Press Club seeking retake of the MBBS and BDS admission tests cancelling the results of the admission tests.

The law enforcing agencies, however, arrested several perpetrators including physicians of Rangpur Medical College Hospital and an official of University Grants Commission at places in Dhaka and elsewhere allegedly on the charge of leak of question papers of MBBS admission test.
According to the Health Ministry, there are 9212 seats in the 95 government and private medical colleges while 1887 seats in dental colleges. A total of 84,784 admission seekers have appeared in the examination.
