Police recovered a body of a transport worker from the city’s Uttara area on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Kazi Golap Hossain, 45, from Cumilla district, but he lived in Uttara section-14 with his wife and daughter. He was a counter master of Bablu Paribhan in city’s Abdullahpur.
Rafiqul Islam, Caretaker of the same building, said that his wife and daughter
went to village town about eight or 10 days ago for vacation.
But on Tuesday morning his wife told us that her husband was not receiving her phone call since the last night.
We rushed to their flat and saw the door locked from inside. But one window was opened and he was lying on the blood stained floor. Later, we informed the nearest police station.
Shachin Bhoumik, Assistant Commissioner of North Zone confirmed the news to the media that law enforcers went to the spot after getting the information and recovered the body.
Investigation is going on over the murder, we must inform the details, AC added.
