The Walton Media Cup Badminton Tournament began at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.
Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn inaugurated the badminton meet by releasing the balloons as the chief guest. Joint-Secretary of Bangladesh Badminton Federation Md Golam Aziz, Administrator of the Stadium Md Shihab Uddin and the officials and the participants of the media houses were present at the time.
A total of 82 shuttlers from 21 media houses are taking part in the badminton tournament.
The events of the competition are: Men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
Blackboard has arranged the badminton meet while RB Group is the sponsor of the competition and Bangladesh Sports Press Association is the media partner of the meet.
