Earlier on Sunday, police received the DNA report, after over two months into the incident, which found the involvement of some of the accused with the incident.
The DNA samples of the eight accused were collected on October 1 and 3 and sent those to Dhaka for test.
A group of BCL leaders and activists gang-raped the young woman after confining her husband to a room of MC College hostel in Sylhet on September 25.
The victim’s husband filed a case with Shah Poran Police Station against six named and three unmanned people.
Sources said the young couple went to visit the MC College campus in the evening when a group of BCL men picked them up and took them to the hostel.
They confined the victim’s husband to a room and raped her in turns.
On information, police rescued the couple around 11pm.
