Chittagong City Mayor Manzoor Alam has directed the Engineering Department of Corporation to undergo the repair work of the city road those damaged by heavy downpour and tidal surge recently on priority basis.
He gave this directives to superintending engineers, executive engineers, assistant engineers, sub-assistant engineers of five zones of the city at his office chamber on Sunday evening.
He said, CCC should continue their service-oriented work always and immediately to repair the roads so damaged by heavy rains and we should share the sufferings of the city dwellers always. He directed them as an employee of the peoples republic of Bangladesh, we never forget the grievances of the city dwellers.
City Mayor asked them to witness the city roads in cyclic way to witness the conditions of the roads aimed at undertaking the work immediately. He asked to discharge their duties with sincerity and responsibilities.
Among others Superintending Engineer Eyakub Nabi, Md. Anowar Hossain, Md. Rafiqul Islam, AKM Rezaul Karim, Monirul Huda, Abu Sales etc were present at Mayor’s chamber on the occasion.
