Health condition of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq, who is now being treated in a hospital in central London after falling ill, is improving slowly. However he has still been kept sedated.
AKM Mizanur Rahman, Personal Secretary of the mayor, said he (Annisul) has been kept on ventilation support. Doctors are not awakening him. Treatment is running keeping him in sleeping. Physicians are moving forward slowly.
When asked how long It will take to awaken him, he said it cannot be mentioned surely.
Earlier, Mizanur Rahman said, “Annisul was admitted to a London hospital on August 13 as he has been suffering from cerebral vasculitis. A medical board has been formed there for his treatment.”
It may be mentioned that Annisul has been suffering from the disease for last two months. Though he was taking treatment in Dhaka from the very beginning he felt illness, it was not detected here. On July 28, he flew for London for a family function. There he fell seriously ill and took admission to hospital.
