The Japanese-born Bangladeshi Matsushima Sumaiya started practice with Bashundhara Kings.
Earlier, Matsushima showed her interest to play for Bangladesh Women’s Football team. She went to Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on October 8 and then she talked to Golam Rabbani Choton, the Head Coach of Bangladesh Women’s Football team. She said to him she is interested to play in Bangladesh National Women’s Football team. Choton said to her if she wants to play for National Football team she has to prove her ability.
However, Bashundhara Kings have come forward to help Matsushima. Matsushima has a dream to play for Bangladesh National Women’s Football team. If she proves her capability she will get chance to play for Bashundhara Kings.
Technical Director of Bashundhara Kings Jobaer Alam Nipu said to the newsmen, ” We have given her chance to practise with Bashundhara Kings. Matsushima’s skill and fitness is up to the mark. We have watched her video footage. Now we want to see how can she adapt with her teammates. If she performs well in the practise sessions she will get chance to play for Bashundhara Kings.”
