Masters Athletics: Bangladesh Customs emerge champions

Bangladesh Customs Sports Club emerged champions in the 2nd Masters and Invitational Athletics Competition securing 34 gold, 25 siver and 25 bronze medals at the MA Aziz Stadium in port city on Saturday.
Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) finished runners-up collecting 33 gold, 17 silver and 14 bronze medals while Bangladesh Ansar & VDP became 3rd with 10 gold, 12 silver and 14 bronzes.
Besides, special invitee Pachim Banga (India) team secured 20 golds, 29 silver and 34 bronze medals.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Shikder was the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the two-day meet and distributed the trophies. Chittagong City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin was also present at the function as special guest.
A total 253 athelets, including teams from universities, customs, BJMC, Physical Education College and Pachim Banga, took part in the two-day meet, organised by Bangladesh Masters Athletics Association under the auspices of Bangladesh Athletics Federation and CJKS.
