A superb hat-trick by Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited’s Gambian recruit Omar powered the Dhanmondi-based out-fit to record a massive 6-0 goals victory over Arambagh Krira Sangha in their match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.
Omar put his team ahead in the 14th minute of the play by a spectacular shot using a pass of his teammate Rezaul Karim.
After four minutes, Sheikh Jamal’s Gambian forward Sulaiman made it 2-0 by a superb shot after deceiving the Arambagh defenders.
Sulaiman increased the tally into 3-0 in 35th minute of the match.
After the lemon-break, Omar got the through pass of Sulaiman and Omar’s shot found the net in the 60th minute of the game.
After two minutes, Omar fulfilled his hat-trick using a pass of his teammate Sulaiman.
Omar sealed the fate of the match using a cross of his teammate Mojammel in the injury time of the second half.
Meanwhile, Uttar Baridhara made a 3-3 draw with Brother Union at the Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium in Gazipur on the same day.
Brothers’ Bangladeshi recruit Shafi, Uzbek recruit Hasan, Nigerian forward Samson scored one goal each.
On the other hand, Uttar Baridhara’s Papon, Uzbek midfielder Cochnev and Egyptian recruit Mostafa netted one goal each.
Uttar Baridhara Club will play their next match against Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society while Brothers Union Club will meet Bangladesh Police Football Club. Both the matches will be held on January 31 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
