Reigning champions Bashundhara Kings registered a massive 6-0 win over Uttar Baridhara Club in their second phase match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
Bashundhara Kings led the points table bagging 37 points from 13 matches, while Uttar Baridhara Club earned nine points from as many matches.
Bashundhara led the first half 3-0. Bashundhara’s Argentine forward Raul gave his team an early lead scoring in the 3rd minute of the play.
After seven minutes, Bashundhara’s Brazilian midfielder Fernandez made it 2-0.
Brazilian Robson of Bashundhara made it 3-0 using a pass of his teammate Fernandez in the 34th minute of the match.
Fernandez increased the tally into 4-0 capitalizing a pass of his teammate Robson in the 55th minute of the clash.
Raul made it 5-0 utilizing a pass of his teammate Ibrahim in the 63rd minute of the game.
Robson sealed the fate of the match (6-0) by scoring a goal at the dying moment.
Bashundhara Kings beat Uttar Baridhara by two goals to nil in their first phase match. The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) did not allow any spectators at the big bowl due to coronavirus out break.
