Massive corruption against Pabna ACC official alleged

Massive irregularities have been alleged against Md Abu Bakar Siddik , Deputy Director of Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) , Pabna and the matter has created a sensation in the area recently.
According to a written complaint filed by one Kamal Hossain of village Dulai in Sujanagar Upazila in Pabna to the Chairman of Anti-corruption Commission it is widely alleged that he hide the corruption of 17 development projects including Water Development Board , Fisheries Development Corporation and canal digging project and Siddik allegedly collected Tk 2.9 crore from the beneficiaries including government officials.
A probe body was formed to investigate into the corruption of Badai canal digging, Fish Cultivation Project and other projects but the Deputy Director of Anti-corruption Commission , Pabna Md Abu Bakar Siddik was somehow managed and no action was taken in this regard.
Sources said, Tk 2.9 cr was taken from seven packages and the government incurred huge loss due to corruption in the fiscal year 2010-2011 and 2012 -2013 .
Besides, LGED constructed RCC Road in Gaznar Beel and following the malpractice of the project Tk 30 lakh was collected and on the same way Tk 50 lakh was collected from Nimgachi Fisheries Project .On the other hand, the ACC officer also allegedly collected Tk 50 lakh to hide the corruption of Ullapara Sub-registry Office .
It is alleged that the ACC official is being benefitted every month from a section of dishonest officials of the RHD, WDB, Fisheries Development Directorate and other government office . If this trend continues, development activities will be hampered and the Vision -2121 will face challenge .
While talking to this correspondent, Md Abu Bakar Siddik , Deputy Director of Anti-corruption Commission , Pabna said, the allegation is motivated and I was never involved in any corruption . He also said, a vested quarter is active against me.
