Sylhet Bureau :
FF Mashuk Uddin Ahmed and Zakir Hussain have been elected President and General secretary of Sylhet City Unit of Bangladesh Awami League respectively for the next three years.
Besides, Adv Luthfur Rahman and Adv Nasir Uddin Khan have been elected President and General Secretary of Sylhet District Unit of AL respectively for the same period.
Both the units got the new leadership during the triennial council held at the Sylhet Govt. Alia Madrasha Ground in Sylhet on Thursday .
AL General Secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader inaugurated the council as the chief guest by hoisting the national flag and releasing pigeons and balloons in the morning.
Adv Luthfur Rahman, President , Sylhet District AL presided over and City AL Secretary Ashad Uddin Ahmed, District Secretary Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury Contacted the council.
Joint Secretary of AL Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Abdur Rahman, Minister Imran Ahmed, Presidium Member of Central AL Nurul Islam Nahid, Organizing Secretary Ahmed Hussain, AFM Baha Uddin Nasim, Adv. Misbah Uddin Siraj, Central Member Shujit Roy Nondi and Rafiqur Rahman.
