The Martyred Intellectuals Day was observed in the district Friday commemorating the tragic killing of the final victory achieved through a bloody war of Liberation in 1971.
Kishoreganj District Administration, Kishoreganj Press Club, ruling Awami League, Oikyafront, Jasod, Ganatantree Party and many socio-cultural organization were chalked out separate programmes to observed the day with due honour to the greatest martyred whose supreme sacrifice is eternally being regarded as the source of inspiration for all to carry forward the hopes and aspirations of the nation to the future.
Kishoreganj District Administration arranged discussion meeting held at its conference room with Deputy Commissioner Md. Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury in the chair.
It was addressed among others by ADC (Gen ) Tarafder Md. Akhter Jamil, Additional Police Super (Promoted Police Super) Nazmul Islam, Sadar UNO Md. Mahadi Hasan, BMP Secretary Dr. Abdul Wahab Badal, Advocate Nasir Uddin Faruki, Ganatantree Party President Advocate Dolon Bhowmik, Professor Rabindranath Chowhdury, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, Sonak President Saiful Hoque Mollah Dulu, Samiul Hoque Mollah and Principal Gulshan Ara Begum.
