Maritime and offshore conference-2015 held

Premier Maritime and Offshore Conference: Sea Asia 2015 was held from 20 to 23 April, 2015 in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore hosted by Sea-trade and Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF), says a press realese.
Lui Tuck Yew, Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Defense, presided over the conference as the chief guest. He observed that Asia is fast becoming the device of global growth while maritime industry needs to be prepared.
The Chairman Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB) Md Rezaul Karim attended the conference. The session highlighted the need for shipping companies to drive greater operational efficiencies to capture opportunities by increasing capacity building to address challenges of today’s environment. The Sea Asia Global Forum panelists commented that the industry is facing challenges, which are optimistic for the future. Participants from 70 countries attended the Sea Asia conference.
In Singapore Md. Rezaul Karim along with Arzu Rahman Bhuiya, Vice Chairman, SCB also met John Y Lu, Chairman, Singapore National Shippers’ Council (SNSC) after a courtesy call and discussed bilateral issues.
 During the discussion 1st Vice Chairman and 2nd Vice Chairman of SNSC were also present in the meeting. Lu appreciated the activities of the Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh, especially dissemination of useful information in the Shippers’ News regularly.
