Mario Lems has been re-named the coach of Dhaka Abahani Limited football team for this season.
Lems was the coach of Dhaka Abahani Limited for two consecutive times before he starts his campaign this year. Lems will arrive in the city in November.
The 34-year Portugal-born coach has a whole idea about Bangladesh’s football. He also acted as the fitness coach of Bangladesh National Football team.
Dhaka Abahani Limited played in the AFC Cup zonal semi-final under supervision of Mario Lems in the last season.
Manager of Dhaka Abahani Limited Satyajit Das Rupu said to the newsmen, ” We have appointed Mario Lems as coach of our out-fit. Abahani performed well under supervision of Mario Lems. Lems has known everything about our country’s football.”
Bangladesh will play two FIFA friendly football matches against Nepal on November 13 and November 17.
Rupu also said, ” After the FIFA friendly football matches, Mario Lems will start his job.”
