The bodies of a man and his wife found dead in their residence in Khabaspur Launch Ghat area in Faridpur district town on Monday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Rajib biswas, 34, Smriti Banik, 22, hailed from Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district.
Faridpur Kotwali Police Station Sup-Inspector (SI) Belal Hossain said, “olice rushed to spot following information and recovered the bodies from the room which was under lock from the inside.”
Rajib’s body was found in hanging while Smriti’s body was lied on the floor, the police official said.
We are suspecting the murder might have be occurred following the family dispute, the SI said.
We were trying to unearth the motive of the murder, he added.
The bodies were sent to the Faridpur Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsies, he said.
