A court here on Sunday sentenced a man to death for killing labour leader Aminul Islam in 2012.
Condemned convict Mustafizur Rahman, 26, son of Shamsher Mollik of Kadirpara village in Sreepur upazila of Magura district is absconding since the murder.

Sikdar of Tangail Special Judge’s Court handed down the order around 11am without the presence of the convict.
Aminul, an organiser of Bangladesh Centre for Workers Solidarity (BCWS) for Savar-Ashulia area and also a leader of Bangladesh Garments and Industrial Workers’ Federation (BGIWF), went missing after he was taken away from his Ashulia office by his acquaintances Mustafizur on April 4, 2012.
On the next day, Ghatail police found the body on Tangail-Mymensingh highway in front of Brahmanasan Mohila College.
