Man held with six gold bars at HSIA

At least six bars of gold weighing 600 grams worth around Tk 30 lakh were recovered from inside a man’s rectum at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Monday night.
The man was identified as Nur Alam Khan, 36, son of Zakir Khan from Comilla, Customs Official said.
Director General (DG) of the Directorate of Customs Intelligence Dr Moinul Khan said:
“Nur Alam arrived from Malaysia at 12:30am. He was trying to smuggle six gold bars, weighing 100 grams each, by hiding them inside his rectum. He agreed to do it for Tk 3,000 only, whereas the estimated price of the recovered gold was Tk 30,00,000.”
The gold bars came out of his rectum, as he was forced to defecate by drinking three to four glasses of water, the DG said.
Besides, a gold chain weighing 100 grams and 1,000 millilitre sex stimulating jell were recovered from his bag, he said.
Nur Alam arrived at the airport from Malaysia by a flight of Malinda Airlines at about 12:30 am, the Cstoms Oficial said. A case had been filed with the Airport Police Station in this connection, he said.
