Police in a drive arrested a suspected arms trader along with a pistol at Sonatankathi in Sharsha upazila of Jashore district on Wednesday night.
The arrestee Rafiqul Islam was a son of Siddiqur Rahman of Raripukur village in the uapzila.
Tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Rafiqul along with a pistol and a magazine, said Abdul Hossain, sub-inspector of Sharsha Police Station.
A case was filed with Sharsha Police Station in this connection.
