UNB, Rangpur :
A septuagenarian man and his grandson were electrocuted at Baniatary Nagirdaho village in Kaunia upazila on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Osman Gani, 75, and his grandson Yunus Ali, 20, of the village.
Rakibul Hasan, chairman of Haragachh union parishad, said Gani came in contact with a live snapped electric wire while cutting grass by his house around 11am.
Hearing his screams, Yunus rushed in to rescue his grandfather but he also met the same fate.
On information police went to the spot and recovered the bodies.
