UNB, Netrokona :
A court here on Sunday sentenced a man to life term imprisonment as he killed his wife at Faridpur villageof Sadar upazila in the district in 2017.
The convict was identified as Saiful Islam, 35, a local rickshaw puller and a son oflate Abdul Hai of Faridpur village.
Netrakona District and Session Judges Court Judge, KM Raseduzzaman Raja passed the order and finedthe convict tk 5,000 or in default to serve another one month jail.
According to the case statement, Saiful hacked his wife Ruma Akter, 23, to death with sharp weapon over a family feud and fled on August 29 in 2017.
