A man was found dead in a water body at Khayersuti East Para in Sadar upazila on Wednesday.
Local people spotted the body of Nuruzzaman Sheikh, son of Toyon Sheikh, floating in a water body and informed the matter to police, said Jalal Uddin, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Pabna General Hospital.
Police suspected that miscreants might have strangled him to death and dumped the body here, said the OC.
