UNB, Nilphamari :
A mentally retarded middle-aged man was crushed to death under the wheels of a running train near Chilahati railway station in Nilphamari on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Mannan, 50, son of Delwar Hossain, a resident of Thataripara village in Ketkibari union of Domar upazila of the district.
Jahangir Alam, station master of Chilahati railway station, quoting witnesses, said Abdul Mannan jumped under Rajshahi-bound intercity train ‘Titumir’ at Chandkhana Railghunti in Kazirhat union at around 3.30 pm and he died on the spot, reports UNB.
