A man has committed suicide after allegedly killing his wife and daughter over extra martial family issue.
The bodies were found dead in their house at Haidarabad in Gazipur City Corporation area on Thursday morning.
The Deceased be have been identified as Kamal Hossain, 40, his wife Nazma Begum, 35, and daughter Sanzida Kamal alias Rimi, 19. Sanzida was a first year student of Uttara Medical College, said Superintendent of Gazipur Police Mohammad Harun-Or-Rashid.
Mahmuda, wife of victim Kamal’s elder brother Delwar Hossain, said she found Kamal hanging inside the house, and his wife and daughter lying slaughtered around 10am, the SP said.
Police initially suspected that the victim might have hacked his wife and daughter at first, and then committed suicide. The extra martial issue might be the key cause of the murder.
The bodies were sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital.
Joydebpur Police Sation Oficer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Aminul Islam said, “Kamal’s sister-in-law first discovered the hanging body. Then other relatives came and found two more slit-throat bodies lying on the floor of the room.
