A man, who sustained burn injuries in an attack allegedly carried out by his younger brother at Sapua village in Dagonghuiya upazila on March 26, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Zahir Uddin, 48, son of Nurul Haq of the village.
On March 26, Nizam Uddin, younger brother of Zahir, beat him up with a stick in front of locals at a tea stall over a family feud, said the victim’s son Emran Hossain.
At one stage, Zahir fell into a burning pan filled up with oil and sustained severe burn injuries, he said.
Later, Zahir was taken to the Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injures in the night.
