UNB, Gazipur :A Saudi expatriate was beaten to death allegedly by his uncle at Rathura Belun village in Kaliganj upazila on Saturday.The deceased was identified as Zillur Rahman, 35, a resident of the village. Witnesses said Zillur, who had come to his village home two weeks ago, locked in an altercation with his uncle Najuk Mia over the ownership of a piece of land around 11 am.At one stage, Najuk beat up Zillur with a stick mercilessly, leaving him dead on the spot. Police recovered the body and sent it to sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy.
