He is National Film Award winner make-up artist MM Jasim. In 2015, he got Green Card under extra ordinary category from USA. During that time he has been living there. He is working there as make-up artist at Time TV and TBN 24. It is really a prideful matter that as a Bangladeshi to work in two TV channels at a time as a make-up artist.
As an assistant make-up artist Jasim started his career through Momtaz Ali’s movie ‘Nalish’ under the coordination by make-up artist of ‘Mukh O Mukhosh’ Shyam Babu’s son, Shahidul Islam Shahid. Though he started to work in 1979 but from 1983 he individually started his career as make-up artist in big screen. He started his career through late Belal Ahmed’s movie ‘Amanat.’ He also worked as make-up artist in BBC and Channel 1.
While talking about his career Jasim said, “As a make-up artist of Bangladesh I am working in USA it is really a prideful matter for me. As a Bangladeshi I really feel proud of it. Though I have to stay in USA for survival my mind remains in Bangladesh. When I get time I come here.” Jasim will again go to USA on April 11.
