The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon talked to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over telephone on Friday noon. AKM Shameem Chowdhury, the Press Secretary of the Prime Minister, confirmed the phone call to media. Duration of the talks between Prime Minister and Ban Ki-moon was a total of 14 minutes. During the phone call, the UN secretary general condemned the recent violence in Bangladesh and hoped this type of acts will be stopped immediately. Ban Ki-moon thanked and praised the premier for her government`s all out successes, says Shameem Chowdhury. Moon, however, told the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that he was informed about some irregularities in the recently held city polls. But the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina refused her allegations adding that the city polls were fair, free and credible.
