Sheikh Arif Bulbon :Noted recitation artistes Mahidul Islam and Tamanna Sarwar Neepa’s recitation album titled Dhoritrir Alankrito Alpona has been released under the banner of Abrittimela recently.A total of 14 selected poems of Kalyani Dev Chowdhury Lipi have taken place in the album. These are: Radha Kandey, Chumbon-er Adrotai Water Colour, Pagol Mela, Dhoritritey Alankrito Alponai, Tobey Odhikar, Dui Nakshotrer Jonmotithi-1419, Dubahu Bariye, Alo Andhar-er Nirob Juddho, Everest-ey Jetey Chai, Poncha Shobo Ei Shmoshaney Noi, Shokhto Aamar Balur Ghor, Ponditer Sekal Ekal, Pahela Baishakher Moddhyojaminitey and Mullyaon Gito Bili Koro Akasher Gai. Mahidul Islm has been engaged with recitation for 24 years not only reciting poem but also its organisational activities. He was EC member of Sammilito Sangskritik Jote and joint general secretary of Bangladesh Abritti Shamonnay Parishad. He led two organisations – Sangbrita and Srote Abritti Sangsad. Now he is director of Swarachitra Abritti Charcha O Bikash Kendro. His performance always creates a new dimension not only on stage performance but also on TV, radio and audio album. Mahidul gave his vocal for 50 solo and duet albums. Binash O Binyashey, Sobinoy Nibedon, Meghbalikar Rupkotha, Guerrilla Raat-er Chokh, Phanshir Dabi Niye Eshechhi, Rajbondir Jobanbondi, etc. are his mentionable albums. On the other hand, born on March 12 in Dhaka’s Tikatuli area Tamanna Sarwar Neepa has been engaged with practising recitation for last 20 years. Since 1995 she has been attached with Muktodhara Abritti Chorcha Kendro. She has been regularly performing on stage, TV and radio for the last 18 years. She gave direction of three productions on stage – Mondrito Jagormontro, Swadesh-er Sabuj Chithi and Poush-Fagun-er. Trainer of children recitation troupe, Moitree Shishudal Neepa has been also working as a voice artiste regularly both in English and Bangla versions. Besides recitation, Neepa is working as a high official in a multi-national company now.
