Mahfuza Akhter of Bangladesh finished 26th among 35 swimmers to be eliminated from the women’s 50 meter breaststroke on the opening day of the 20th Commonwealth Games Swimming in Glasgow on Thursday.
Mahfuza competed in the event’s heat number two and was placed fifth clocking 35.88 seconds.
Sixteen top swimmers of event qualified for semifinals with last qualifying timing was 33.28 seconds.
