Mahbub Ullah assaulted by unknown miscreants

Unknown miscreants physically assaulted Professor Dr Mahbub Ullah, a former teacher of the Dhaka University, on the Supreme Court premises in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.Prof Mahbub came under attack when he was leaving the court premises after delivering a speech in a book launching programme at the Supreme Court Bar Association Auditorium around 1:20pm.The programme was organised to launch the book titled “Bangladesh Emergency and the Aftermath,” written by BNP leader Moudud Ahmed.After the attack, Mahbub Ullah, still wearing torn shirt, went to attend another programme in the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh where BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was addressing a programme.Presenting him before on-duty journalists, Khaleda said, “We want to see the government takes proper initiative for awarding exemplary punishment to the culprits, who attacked Mahbub Ullah.” Association Auditorium around 1:20pm. Dr Mahbub Ullah said, “I am a teacher and I always try to speak truth.”He also demanded proper justice of that incident.
