Madrasa Superintendent assaulted in Bhuapur

A superintendent of Arjuna Dakhil Madrasa, Mohammad Saidur Rahman of Tangail’s Bhuyapur upazila was assaulted and beaten up by some local miscreants for protesting eve-teasing onThursday.
In this regard, a complaint has been filed in Bhuapur Police Station against six persons.
According to the complaint, the two miscreants named Mahim(18) and Rimon(22) entered the Madrasa compound with their friends with motorbike on Thursday morning and started teasing the female students. Meanwhile, Superintendent Saidur Rahman accompanied by Kashem Ali, a former guardian member of the madrasa’s managing committee interrogated the two boys. At that time they misbehaved with the Superintendent.
Later on, they both came again in madrasa compound with 6-7 miscreants and attacked Superintendent with sticks and injured him threating to kill. Afterwards, the teachers and students rescued Saidur Rahman from the spot and admitted him to the hospital immediately for treatment.
Muhammad Faridul Islam, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhuapur police station confirmed the truth of the incident and said.
 I went to the spot physically to investigate incident. The teacher is now under treatment in the local hospital. We have received a written complaint regarding this issue. Necessary actions will be taken soon after completing the investigation.
