State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Advocate Mahbub Ali, MP has distributed bicycles, educational materials and education scholarships among 204 students of 5 ethnic minorities in 5 tea gardens of Madhabpur Upazila.
On this occasion, an event was organized by Madhabpur Upazila Administration at the Upazila Parishad auditorium on Friday morning presided over by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Mohiuddin. State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Advocate Mahbub Ali, MP was the chief guest on the occasion. Special guests were Moulvibazar District Additional Deputy Commissioner Mallika Dey, Habiganj Sadar Upazila Chairman and FBCCI Director Motashirul Islam, Madhabpur Upazila Chairman Syed Md. Shahjahan, OC Abdur Razzak, Press Club Secretary Sabbir Ahmed, Chairman Faruk Pathan, Apon Mia, Arifur Rahman.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Mohiuddin informed that under the program titled ‘Development Assistance for Special Areas’ adopted by the Prime Minister’s Office to improve the living standards of small ethnic groups in the plains, 40 students of 5 tea gardens in Madhabpur Upazila were provided bicycles 2 lakh education scholarship has been distributed. Earlier, 126 cows were distributed among the members of the ethnic group and 34 houses were built.
