Madaripur polls clash victim dies at DMCH

A man who sustained bullet injuries in a clash that ensued after the union parishad election at Diapara village in Sadar upazila on Friday died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital early Saturday.
Ziaul Morshed, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said
Seven people were injured with bullets as supporters of two chairman candidates-AL-backed Sanwar Hossain and AL rebel Shaheb Ali-of Kunia union parishad locked in a
clash at the village around 11 am on Friday, a day after the second phase UP polls.
The injured were rushed to Madaripur Sadar Hospital from where Hasan, 32 of the village, was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as his condition showed a worsening trend.
Hasan succumbed to his injuries at DMCH around 5:30 am on Saturday, said the OC.
