Noted lyricist Ahmed Rizvi wrote many popular songs like E mon aamar pathorto noi in Shuvro Dev’s voice, Aamar Allah Nobijir naam in Hasan’s voice, Tumi Jodi bolo Padma Meghna in Kumar Bishwajit’s voice, Prithibir sob sukh chharte pari in Dolly Sayontini’s voice, Raj prasad-er sukh chaina ami in Alam Ara Minu’s voice, Bondhu aamar paner dokandar in Momtaz’s voice, Sojoni amito tomai bhulini in Khalid Hasan Milu’s voice, Jani sob kichhu bule thaka jai in Jewel’s voice, Chaina meye tumi annoy karo hou in Hridoy Khan’s voice.
He first wrote the song E mon aamar pathorto noi 25 years ago and till now he has been writing lyrics.
Ahmed Rizvi wrote songs for Runa Laila, Sabina Yasmin to present generation’s Imran, Porshi, among others. He is a successful lyricist in the country’s music arena. But he has a pain in his mind. While talking in this regard the lyricist said, “For audio cassettes I wrote many songs for the singers which got huge popularity among music-lovers. But there is a pain in my mind which will remain forever. I never got the scope to write song for Adrew Kishore Dada due to mismatch of timing. In future, I may write song James Bhai. I never feel like a successful lyricist because my many dreams did not fulfil. I got listeners’ love – it is great achievement in my career.”
Ahmed Rizvi’s hometown is in Joypurhat. He wrote about 40 play-back songs for movies. Once an audio album compiled with Rizvi-written song which number is 150. Momtaz is the singer who lent her voice most of time in Rizvi’s lyrics.
