Lyla Arjumand Banu (Lyla Zakeriah Murshed), widow of Chief Justice SM Murshed and only child of former mayor of Calcutta AKM Zakeriah and Zerina Khatoon passed away in the evening on May 25, 2017, says a press release.
She was the mother of Shaida Murshed Hoda, Syed Marghub Murshed ,Syed Mamun Murshed and Dr Prof Syed Mansoob Mursged .
She was founder of the Zonta Movement and was the first president of the Zonta Club.
