Sheikh Arif Bulbon :Lopa Hossain is not only a popular news presenter but also a singer of present time. Besides her these two identities, Lopa is going to be introduced to all with another recognition. For the first time, Lopa’s written a book based on romantic poems is expected to be published in Ekushey Boimela (book fair). Title of the book is Je Ondhotter Naam Bhalobasha. Adarsha Prokashoni will publish the book during the month-long book fair. For the last six years Lopa has been writing lyrics of songs and for the last one year she has been trying to write down poems. With this effort she has compiled the book with her own written poems. While talking in this regard Lopa Hossain told this correspondent, “I am enjoying writing poems as like how I wrote lyrics of songs earlier. I have decided to continue writing regularly from now. But this writing will be out of commercial approach. I will continue writing only for own liking. It is really a prideful matter for me because my written poems’ book is going to publish in coming Ekushey book fair. It is not only a conceit for me but also a pleasure thing. I believe that the poem-lovers will enjoy to read my poems from the book.”It may be mentioned that Lopa Hossain has written 30 songs till now. Of those songs, she has written each number of her rendered songs except a single one from her last released album titled Ashar Bhela, produced under the banner of Laser Vision. In this album, music video of Lopa’s rendered a song titled Samanno Sombol, which lyrics were written by Zulfiqar Russell and music and tunes were composed by Belal Khan, is being aired in different satellite channels now. Lopa’s debut solo album titled Aari was released in 2007. She took training on modern song and classical music from Ustad Ashit Dey, late Subol Das, Farida Parvin, Ferdous Ara, Sujit Mustafa, Chandana Mazumder, Abu Bakar Siddique, among others, in different times.Also working as Senior News Presenter in ATN Bangla Lopa has rendered songs in two mixed albums with Lutfar Hossain and Iliash Hossain. Therefore, Lopa has also contributed her vocal for a playback song of a film. She has rendered the track under her own composed lyrics and tunes for Rafael’s directed a film titled Noi Chhoy. The film is waiting to release soon, Lopa said.
