In protest against the communal violence in Chittagong , a long march started from city towards strong hold of Jamaat-Shibir Satkania upazila yesterday morning.
Former Mayor and President of City Awami League ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury is leading the long march.
The long march started from Laldighi Maidan and Jamiatul Falah Mosque premises accompanied by hundreds of transports at 11 am.
Under the banner of Communal Harmony of Chittagong, the longmarch launched. To join the long march , people irrespective of caste and crest turn over the Laldighi and Jamiatul Falah Maidan carrying banners, festoons and lathis with uninterrupted slogans against the communal violence. President of South district AL Moslemuddin Chowdhury, President of North district AL Nurul Alam Chowdhury , General secretary of city AL AJM Nasiruddin, Secretary of South District AL Mofizur Rahman, Dr. Abu Reza Nadvi MP, and the Convenor of Communal Harmony Parishad Jahirul Islam Dobash and Member Secretary of the Parishad Jahar Lal Hazari joined the long-march among others.
