Lokman put on fresh remand

The Senior Special Judge’s Court of Dhaka on Sunday placed Mohammedan Sporting Club Director-in-Charge M Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan on a seven-day remand in a graft case.
Judge KM Imrul Kayes of the court passed the order after hearing the remand petition.
Earlier, the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case produced Lokman, who is also a Director of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), the court seeking seven days’ remand to interrogate him.
On September 26, Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Lokman from his Monipuripara residence in the capital for illegal possession of alcohol, a few days after RAB busted
casino operations at Mohammedan Club.  
On October 27, ACC Assistant Director Saiful Islam filed the case against Lokman for amassing illegal wealth amounting Tk 5.34 crore.
