A fine of Tk 2 lakh was imposed on an unlicensed brick field in Khalek’s shop area of Charamba Union in Lohagara.
CBM brickfield owner Mohammad Parvez was fined in a mobile court operation conducted by Executive Magistrate and Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Ahsan Habib Jitu on Tuesday.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Ahsan Habib Jitu said CBM brickfield was fined for violating government guidelines which are harmful to the environment. He also said that instructions have been issued to stop CBM brickfield activities as there is no license.
Lohagara Police Station SI Delwar Hossain and Upazila Nirbahi Officer’s Office CA Samir Chakraborty were present at the time.
