Locomotives of 4 trains go out of order in one day

The incident of train engine disorder of four intercity train on Dhaka-Chittagong track occurred on Wednesday.
Out of the four, three intercity and one express train, a railway East zone sources said.
Following the engine disorder, the passenger could not reach their destinations in time. Sources said locomotives of Chittagong bound Mohanagar Pravati, Dhaka bound Mohanagar Express, chittagong bound Subarna express and Chattala Express went out of order at morning hour .
After removing faults in the engine, the trains leave for their destinations after 2 to 3 hours. Railway sources said Mohanagar express became out of order at Barabkunda junction at about 12 noon, Later at 3.40 pm Dhaka bound chattala express halted at Laksham due to engine fault, one chittagong bound Subarna express gone out of order following the collision with a covered van at AK khan gate crossing in city left the train halted at about 8 pm General Manager of East zone Railway Md. AbdulHai told the media that these intercity trains are being operated with very old engines and after arrival of new engines from abroad, these problemswill be resolved
Meanwhile railway communications between Chittagong , Dhaka and sylhet have been halted for few hours due to failure of engine of Karnapuli express.
The accident took place at Ashuganj rail station area of Brahmanbaria district on Wednesday (October 26).
Brahmanbaria rail station master Soayeb Ahmed sources said.
Rail communication restored after the engine repaired, he said.
