Lockdown in 7 dist: All Dhaka-bound bus services shut down

All long-distance Dhaka-bound buses will be shut down from 6 am on June 22 to midnight on June 30.
Khandaker Enayet Ullah, general secretary of the Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association, told the media on Monday.
He said it is not possible to enter Dhaka city by bus “without avoiding” any one of the seven districts which have been brought under lockdown. Therefore, as per the government instructions, long-distance bus services to Dhaka will not ply from June 22 to June 30.
Earlier, a lockdown was declared in seven districts on Monday to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The seven districts are Manikganj, Munshiganj, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Rajbari, Madaripur and Gopalganj.
All types of vehicle movement will be closed in these districts, however, there will be no restrictions only on freight trucks and vehicles engaged in emergency services as food, medicine, ambulance, fire service.
Besides, all government-private-semi-government institutions in the area will remain closed. It has even been decided to keep the public movement halted.
