The government has extended the ongoing lockdown till May 30 considering the current coronavirus situation.
A gazette notification has been issued by the Cabinet Division in this regard on Sunday.
However, all types of inter-district public transport services are allowed to operate during the lockdown. The transport owners have to carry 50 percent passengers of their capacity. In addition, the transports will be sterilized with disinfectants at the beginning and end of each journey and the persons and passengers involved in transportation will have to wear masks and use hand sanitizer.
The government imposed restrictions from April 5 to 11 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection. It was then extended till April 13. From April 14, the ‘strict’ restrictions had been imposed.
Meanwhile, the duration of the restriction was extended several times by imposing and relaxing various conditions. The last gazette notification to extend the restrictions was issued on May 16.
