Staff Reporter :The High Court (HC) Division of the Supreme Court on Thursday issued status-quo for six months on the century-old Jessore-Benapole highway trees.The HC Bench of Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury and Justice Md Iqbal Kabir passed the order and issued a rule after hearing a writ petition filed by an organization ‘Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh’.In the rule, the court wanted to know as to why the inaction of the defendants to save the trees from felling down...
